Up for sale is a superb original painting by well listed artist Peter Keil. This piece is a depiction of an abstract portrait. Painting of Faces around the Lamp. Peter Keil is a friend of ours for many years, he is a great person and artist.

Peter Robert Keil is one of Germany's best known contemporary painters. His expressive paintings with their impressive choice of colors and dynamic shape are particularly popular, he is one of the Groben Wilden of Berlin and he shares his name with famous artists like Elvira Back, Rainer Fetting and Georg Baselitz. Keil mainly uses oil-based paints and a mixture of oil and acrylics on canvas. His repertoire focuses on the human forms, faces, heads, figures, and torsos form the centerof his composition.

His work does not serve to illustrate the illusions of a candy-coloured reality or the emptiness of vain beauty. He is fascinated by people on the fringes of society, the stories of those who have been pushed too far, those characters who chose an existence on the other side of society. His inspiration is based on his view of man as an essentially social being. Not restricted by convention and not bound by narrow-minded moralistic self-righteousness, he is free to portrait the reality of our interaction with others people in the sphere of work and politics, in bars and pubs. Outlined boldly in black which highlights the portrait nicely and really make the whole piece pop.
