Vintage BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY Mountains Oil PAINTING Frame by Walker FOSTTER c1950

Here is a vintage oil on canvasboard painting of a drive in the mountains. I bought this from a dealer who believed it to be in The Blue Ridge parkway/Appalachian mountains region. It is framed in its original mid-century frame. The painting is signed Walker Fostter or Festter or Tostter.

I have searched under all those names and cannot find the artist. It measures 21 3/4 x 26 3/4 in. Painting itself is about 17 x 22 in. Condition and the frame is in fair as is condition with numerous scarps and wear. The colors are gorgeous in this piece.
