Vintage CHARLES E. D. RODICK'Red Barn in WINTER Landscape' Oil PAINTING Listed

This is really a wonderful original. I have had a few Rodick paintings over the last couple of years. There is no really complete biography for the artist anywhere that I can find but he was known to be a painter in New England including Maine and Massachusetts and also in Nova Scotia.

This scene could be from any of those places. A wonderful view of a red barn in a mountain landscape in the deep of winter. A snowy stream winds through the foreground and the red barn reflects off the river in the middle of the painting.

Oil on artist's board measuring 24 x 30 inches it is one of the largest works I have seen by the artist. Painting is in really excellent condition. The white snow is really clean with no real surface grime at all. Rich colors and really vibrant.

There is one issue with the painting. In the very upper right corner of the painting there is a scuff running across the top of the trees. It is about 4 1/2 inches long with just one speck of loss showing through. Otherwise a very fine example. Original frame is complimentary and ready to hang.
