Vintage Oil Painting Cat 1969 Molded Wood Frame Mid Centrury Signed by Artist. Unique Mid Century, 1969, artist signed Cox oil painting on artist board framed in wood frame, molded trim design. Oil painting in nice condition for age, has some soil on back of board, and is signed on back of board also.
Appears to be artist signature dated 1969, artist Ginny Cox, see photos of signature, of cat named "Minute" who was 5 years old. Has the greatest color of frame molding, in a taupe, which is cracked all around and holding tight. So complimentary molding and color choice, so complimentary of the deep purple background chosen for the backing board.Little green hint and then there is "Minute" so well done, with capturing green eyes and personality all its own. Have to believe this is one frame worth saving, as again, has beautiful complimentary color, even though molding has surrounding cracks with age.
Can appreciate as is, and hang as a beautiful eye catching mid century piece of art, or can and worth even repairing a bit, if would like it perfect. Pictures provided herein part of description. Frame: 21 1/2" height x 17 1/2" width x 1 1/2 approx depth.
