Vintage Still Life Oil Painting Daffodils & Violets Mid Century Modern Flowers

This is a lovely still life painting on canvas of springtime daffodils and violets. I'm really not sure of the medium. Possibly oil; possibly a mixed media. Dates to the mid 20th century. The painting measures 16 1/2" x 20" and is displayed in a dark brown period frame measuring 23 1/2" x 27".

Condition: The painting has slight buckling, stretcher marks and craquelure and the linen liner has a water stain in the upper left corner (please see photos).
