We recently attended a fine art sale in Chadd's Ford, Pennsylvania where we acquired a great collection of artwork, this being one of them!
Signed along the lower right corner W. Koerner and attributed to the listed artist William Koerner (1878 - 1938) by the multi-estate sale, we did find a few other similar pieces of artwork by Koerner that matched the style of ours.A great piece of impressionism, the artist gives us a nice view of a shoreline with mountains lining the bright blue waters, flowers adorning the left side of the canvas. Executed on canvas, the artwork measures approx. 15" by 19" with a sight size of 11-3/4" by 15-3/4". There is visible old varnish to the painting, small areas of craquelure and some scattered paint loss.
