1954 vintage MCM ORIGINAL ABSTRACT PAINTING signed HESLER CALIFORNIA

Fine original 1954 abstract painting signed Hesler. This sensational small painting is oil pastel on paperboard and measures 11" by 8".

It is in it's original artist painted framing with overall measurements of 16 1/2" by 13 1/2". Signed lower right: HESLER'54. The original paper label on back reads: Hesler #7.

I bought this painting in the Bay area of California about 20 years ago. It is pastel but oil pastel not chalk. Artemus is most likely an art gallery that represented Hesler. This little gem has been well kept and is in good vintage condition. It is without glass and should ideally have glass put in.
