Paint has been gouged, scraped and smeared into the surface - giving it a palpable luminosity of both style and color. Deep crimson, violet and emerald green are heavily worked in this highly evocative abstract painting. Signed and dated on both front and back - George Morris 1964. In original grey washed Modernist Oak wood frame.

Frame has some rubbing to edges due to age. Measures 27.75" x 27.75" square in frame.
