Vintage Original Art Painting Oil On Canvas Signed. Consignment from a friend who is a local art collector. Notable rips wear and damage.. Was born in Antillas, Cuba, on February 11, 1919. He painted his first painting at the age of nine, realizing that he was born with a gift.

He decided to cultivate such by attending the San Alejandro Academy of Arts in Havana, Cuba years later. At the age of twenty, he travelled to Europe where he enrolled at the Royal Academy of San Fernando in Madrid, Spain and eventually obtaining a Master's Degree.

Carballosa came to the United States, leaving behind several hundred masterpieces and collections valued in the thousands of dollars. This was a hardship to the "Master of the Brush", as his colleagues often addressed him.

His ability to create from abstract to contemporary, to classical art to an oil portrait or to a fresco mural, gave him the immortality that every artist seeks. Carballosa died from natural causes on July 14.

We can only describe what we know and what we see. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION.
