Klementiev Yuri Leonidovich Born on April 10, 1961, in the city of Kazatin, Vinnitsa region. He graduated from the Chisinau Art and Pedagogical College named after I. He created geometric-colored abstractions, complementing the paint with natural materials (earth, sand, varnish) and ironically grotesque figurative paintings. Rethinking the plots of the Dutch and Spanish painters of the 17th century. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2000). Lived and worked in Vinnitsa. Klementiev's painting is an artistic search in the sphere of the supersensible.
His canvases are cleared of real observations, reproduction of everyday life even in its exceptional manifestations, devoid of literary reminiscences. The author operates with primary forms, color and textures.
In an effort to rid the color of the physical and associative beginnings, the artist supplements the paint with natural materials: earth, sand, varnishes.
