For your consideration is this wonderful Vintage (1950's) oil on canvas. The painting depicts the life like image of a woman with all the attributes granted to her by her creator.
She is free of any inhibitions and beautifully poised as the artists model of choice on that day, her image frozen in time for an eternity now granted unto you. The painting has been signed by its Artist and winner of the juried competition in which it had been entered at that time. In large bold hand type letters on verso are the Artists signature "Berger" (Brendon Berger formerly residing at 474 Smith Street Brooklyn, New York) The paintings stretcher too has what appears to be the artists full name in block type print letters (Brendon Berger) seemingly done in a stencil or some method of replicating in multiples. The painting also has remnants of an Art competition entrance label that indicates the painting as having been chosen by two judges at that event F. Fraser The competition presumably held at the Frank J.Reilly Art Students League of New York City or some other affiliate in kind. Although difficult to find there is some limited historical information that can be attributed to this collectable oil painting allowing the would be researcher to possibly make the connections necessary between Artist and Teacher/ mentor, the depth and their connections are limited only by the aptitude and desire of the would be researcher...
