Vintage 1968 Oil on black Velvet Hawaiian Nude Woman Artist signed by Aguilar
Beautiful Oil on Black Velvet of a Nude Hawaiian Woman. Just in time for the holiday season is this wonderful, large oil on black velvet of a Hawaiian nude woman. Aguilar in 1968, it exudes warmth, sensuality and feminine beauty. It is in excellent condition as the pictures will indicate.
The velvet has a wood backing. The frame is also wood. Signed and dated in the lower right corner with what looks like A. There are 3 tiny spots of missing paint on the upper part of her chest, above right breast (only visible upon close up inspection). Also, the whitish streak to the right of her torso is due to my camera and that area is totally black velvet in real life.
The wood back also has lightly written in large block letters "JOERIC", not sure about the first letter. The large solid wood sculpted frame measures 25 by 29 inches. The velvet painting measures 19 by 23.5 inches.
It weighs about 6 pounds. Please refer to the pictures for greater details.
All pictures were taken under incandescent lighting (except one, natural indoor light) and the colors are very accurate; some reflections from lighting angle.
