Beautiful C1980s signed original South African landscape and seascape. Painted with a palette knife and brushes, it gives it a wonderful vibrant impressionist feel. A blustery cape breeze ensures that the sails of the yacht are billowing.

Its a perfect sunny day with basking sun and reflective light. The fishing boat is waiting nonchalantly nearby for its owner to return in the hot sunshine.

Painted by professional South African artist, Claude Tournois, his favourite style was Impressionism. He painted some still life subjects but preferred to concentrate on landscapes and seascapes drawings inspiration from his beautiful native South Africa. He latterly moved to live in England where he settled in Sunningdale. Subject: Seascape with ancient cottages. Overall in excellent condition, nice complimentary gold frame with hanging string.
