Vintage/Antique Hand Painted Shore Bird Iron Beak Signed

Measures approximately 14.5 tall; no damage. I know nothing about the age or origin of this piece, other than it came from a distinguished New England collection of Americana. I was told the mark underneath - which appears to be a brand - is the signature of the maker.
