Vintage Carved & Painted 16.5 Mallard Hen & Drake Decoy Pair, Signed Dated 1958

A pair of vintage carved and painted Duck Decoys, Mallard Hen and Drake, 16-1/2L, ca. Both are signed by the maker on base: RJ GJ 58 (see close-ups). Ill update the listing if any collectors out there can identify the maker.

Artistically and realistically painted decoys with glass eyes. The hen faces slightly to the right; the drake, slightly left.

Grading and evaluating decoys is well-beyond the area of my expertise. The photos are probably the best description for this lot.

Condition : Both have general wear and small losses on the tails, as shown. The hen is missing her right eye. Exceptional paintwork with superb detail on both.
