Vintage French Oil Painting, Nude Woman in an interior. His lovely vintage French oil on panel from the first half of the 20th century depicts a bedroom with a standing nude woman holding an article of clothing that she has taken from the adjacent chest of drawers. This intimate interior scene with its representation of furniture, carpet and paintings, and the highly contrasted light and shadow on the nude body of the woman recalls the works of late nineteenth and early twentieth century painters from Degas to Bonnard and their complete refashioning of the traditional nude. Was a French painter and photographer. Framed in a more recent frame, this piece is in very good condition.
