This is a skillfully done Oil painting on canvas framed in a simple and fitting gold wooden frame. The portrait features a lovely woman in 1940's dress and hair style with bright lipstick and a thoughtful expression.

The facial features are finely painted but the artist has chosen to frame her clothing and the background in a more abstract fashion so that you focus on her. A lovely painting in fine condition. It measures 20" x 24" framed and is signed Cecil Casebier Cecil Casebier was a Texas artist born March 22, 1922 in Fort Stockton, and died April 19, 1996 in San Antonio.

He was known for portrait and still-life paintings and murals, mosaics, and stain-glass designs including 18 stained glass windows for St. Luke's Episcopal Church in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from the University of Southern California, and did graduate work at the University of Texas.

He served as Faculty Chairman of the Art Center, San Antonio, Texas.
