A rare painting of BLACK AMERICANA loading cotton from about 1900 in the USA SOUTH. It portrays a family and horses and wagon in a cotton field. It is oil on canvas measuring 15 1/4 inches high by 25 3/4 inches wide and needs a cleaning and conservation. There are numerous brown spots that are throughout the painting that will need conservation as I don't know what they are.. It is signed lower right illegibly with some letters conjoined together. It is unframed and the stretcher bars are loose and appear to be homemade. An interesting work of AMERICAN FOLK ART of the SOUTH.
