Max Hofler (1892 - 1963) is a famous British listed artist; he was active/lived in United Kingdom. Max Hofler was born in London. Was educated at Archibishop Tenison's Grammar School and with special permission at Heatherley's School of Fine Art (aged 14).
Martin's School of Art, then for five years in the evening at the Royal Academy Schools. Exhibited at the Royal Academy, ROI and others.Was a founder member of the Wapping Group of Artists and Harrow Art Society. This is a great impressionist oil painting, very beautifully done and very decorative, depicting a large perspective over an English rural landscape, with houses, trees and bushes, dried and green grass, and clouds in misty horizons, over a blue/gray sky. We feel deep emotions captured in this painting and they radiate a mysterious atmosphere. We find serenity, simplicity and clarity through the use of color and light and exquisite classical rendering.

It is also in very good used condition. Because of the bright light of the flash and the gloss of the painting there is some glare in the image that does not appear in the actual picture; please ignore it!This is why I took some pictures with the flash and some others without the flash! However, the colors are vibrant and close to reality! Just a beautiful piece - don't miss this one.
