Vintage Pair Signed Miro Joan Original Abstract Surreal Large Paintings 12 x 18. SIZE 12 x 18 INCHES EACH. YOU GET BOTH ORIGINAL PIECES, WHICH APPEAR TO BE A "PAIR", VERSIONS OF, OR AT MINIMUM, WERE CREATED AT THE SAME TIME. BOTH ARE SIGNED "MIRO", LOWER-RIGHT. BOTH ARE IN GOOD CONDITION FOR THEIR AGE, A FEW MINOR TEARS AT THE EDGES, AS FOLLOWS.

Both are done on construction paper. One has two edge-tears of less than one inch each, hard to see unless viewed from verso. The other one has one edge-tear, a bit over a half inch in length, again which should be seen from verso. COMMENTS: Joan Miro (1893 - 1983) was an important Spanish artist who was very prolific.

His known work is in the thousands. No doubt there are thousands more that may very well have been created by the famous artist, but are not known and will continue to be discovered as time goes on. Of course, it is impossible to say if a particular piece was indeed done by an artist, or if a work is possibly done simply "in the manner of" that artist.
