Titled "Pomegranates", and signed by listed artist, Helen Thornsberry, a mid-century painter, known for her still life paintings. This is a lovely oil on canvas board, in a truly classic primitive Americana Folk Art style. As you can see, Ms. Thornsberry had a way with painting both light and shadow into her paintings, giving depth to the simplest of subjects.

The outside of the frame measures 26.5" x 20.5". The revealed painting measures 23.25" x 17 3/8".

It is signed in the lower right corner, and titled on the back of the canvas board. The frame deep reddish - brown painted pine, and in good overall condition, with some scuffs, chips, and other minor, and normal signs of age. The painting itself does have a few tiny spots where the paint has been chipped off at some point. I did take photos of anything notable, so be sure to view all photos for details. Helen Thornsberry painted throughout the 1950's - 1970's.

Judging by the manufacturers labeling on the back of the canvas, this would be from the Early to mid 1960's. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
