This oil on canvas painting is by the artist Frans Roofhoot and dates to the early to mid 1900's. This artist usually painted outdoor scenes of the countryside in Europe. His thick brush strokes and vivid impressionistic colors are very characteristic of his style of painting. This is painting is an excellent example of his work. The canvas is in very good condition with no damage whatsoever. The frame appears to be newer and does show slight signs of wear. Dimensions: 40.5" wide, 31.5" tall and 2.5 thick in its frame.
